Speakers at TEDxDhaka September 2012

We are delighted to publish the confirmed speakers’ list for the upcoming ‘TEDxDhaka: Be the Change’ on September 22nd, Saturday, 4pm-8pm, International School, Dhaka. The speakers are from diverse disciplines working on several interesting and remarkable projects in their fields and beyond, here is the list:

 

   Nash Islam is an entrepreneur & advocate for mobile, cloud & internet as socio-economic development tools. He is the co-Founder & CEO at Mangoes Mobile, Inc., a former Google employee, and one of the core organizers of Google Business Groups, Dhaka.

 

 

   

   Anita Ghazi Rahman is the Founder of The Legal Circle, which is one of the fastest growing legal sets in
Bangladesh. She is also the founder of Think Legal Bangladesh, which is the first free non-chamber related legal resource website of its kind in Bangladesh.

 

 

 

   Samier Mansur is a research scholar, columnist, and photographer. He is also the initiator of the Bangladesh Pluralism Project with the vision of creating a more open, inclusive, and globally engaged Bangladesh.

 

 

 

 

   Henry Churchill is the head of strategic partnerships at WildTeam (AKA Sundarbans Tiger Project, and formerly the Wildlife Trust of Bangladesh). He is an environmental conservationist and is passionate about tigers.

 

 

 

 

   Naveed Mahbub‘s journey has taken him from engineer to CEO to comedian. He is the Chief “Entertainment” Officer at Naveed’s Comedy Club and the host of The Naveed Mahbub Show on NTV every Friday night.

 

 

 

 

   Mikey Leung is the co-author of The Bradt Travel Guide: Bangladesh. He is using images as a storytelling tool to tell a different story of Bangladesh. He is also the founder of Crowdsourced Travel, a media collective that aims to develop economic opportunities through travel and tourism to developing countries.

 

 

Prabir Sarkar - 'TEDxDhaka: Be the Change' Speaker  

   Prabeer Sarker is a pioneer in creating the paid software market in Bangladesh. He is the CEO of Officextracts and country distributor of Kaspersky Lab for Bangladesh and Bhutan.

 

 

Speaker selection is an ongoing process. Although we cannot consider any new speaker nominees for the upcoming event in September, you may still submit your nomination for our next event using the speaker nomination form.
